NEW YORK, NY – Father Frank Pavone, National Director of Priests for Life, today welcomed “The Joy of the Gospel,” the first apostolic exhortation from Pope Francis.
“The Pope reaffirmed the Church’s never-ending defense of the unborn, and urged a greater effort to help women facing difficult pregnancies,” Father Pavone said. “This is the heart of the Gospel teaching and it is always relevant.”
“The pro-life movement has long said that we are called to love them both, mother and unborn child. In fact, we are called to love them all, fathers included. We will continue to spread this message and make sure the Pope’s words are heard by all the faithful.”
